The Carl-Schurz-Haus Library offers class and group tours for school students in grades 1-13, students from universities, vocational and technical schools, student groups, and other interested parties.

During the tour, you will learn more about the history and work of the Carl-Schurz-Haus, as well as how to use the library. Also other topics – such as an introduction to the use of our online catalog and the eLibrary USA database collection, or information about student exchange possibilities – can also be arranged in advance.

Groups will additionally be given the opportunity to ask questions and look around the library. After the tour, teachers/group leaders are welcome to use our space to continue discussions about US-related topics, or to take a look at our latest exhibit.

Tours can be given in German or in English and are free of charge!

Tours work best outside our normal hours of operation, i.e. before 11:30, or between 13:30 and 15:00.

To make an appointment, please send us an email at bibliothek(at) or call us at 0761-556527-27.
