The Library of the Carl-Schurz-Haus is a public library with a full range of circulating media. We offer books, magazines, films and audio books - all you need is a library card.

Offerings

The Carl-Schurz-Haus Library is a public library offering a wide range of borrowable media in English. Here you can find books, magazines, board games, DVDs, audiobooks, and Tonies – from classic literary works and children's books to the latest film releases on DVD. Our focus is on media from the English-speaking world.

With a library membership, you also get access to the Libby app, which allows you to conveniently use eBooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines on your smartphone or tablet.

In our library, you will find:

• 13,000 books in English

• Including 1,300 picture books

• Over 5,000 DVDs (a wide variety of films, documentaries, and TV series)

• 26 current magazines

• Two daily newspapers – Süddeutsche Zeitung and the International New York Times

• An iPad with internet access
