Voter Registration for U.S. Citizens | U.S. Visas Info Desk | Mix & Mingle for Expats and Refugees

Get registered to vote! Get ready to go abroad! Get to know each other!

You’re an American citizen living abroad and would like to get some assistance in the registration process?
The Carl-Schurz-Haus is your place to make your voice heard! Holly Cummings, Voting Assistance Ambassador with the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) will guide you through the process and help you get registered to cast your vote.

At the same time, at our U.S. visas information desk a representative from the Consulate in Frankfurt can answer questions about U.S. immigrant, nonimmigrant, and student visas and the requirements to apply for each. You can also learn how to pay the required visa application fee, and book a nonimmigrant interview appointment at the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt. For refugees, there is also information about seeking refugee and asylum status in the U.S. available.

Finally, we’re always on a mission to connect and empower different communities! So we’re inviting American expats, Ukrainian and all other refugees now living in Freiburg as well as engaged citizens and friends of Carl-Schurz-Haus to mix and mingle with us. So, take your time, look around, have a coffee and a snack, talk to people and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy your stay here!
