In Germany, many national holidays are centered around Christian biblical events. Today, the prominence of the church in people’s daily lives is decreasing, yet these holidays remain. Should the current days off remain but be renamed under non-Christian names? Do these holidays even reflect the values of the people today? With the recent influx of non-Christian immigrants entering Germany, should some of the holidays be changed to accommodate Muslim and other religious minorities religious celebrations? Let’s talk about the influence of religion on deciding your days off!
