Sustainable Cooking

Workshop & Tasting mit Heidi Leonhard, Freiburg, aus der Reihe "At America's Table"

In 2019, we are launching a series of events on culinary and nutrition trends in the USA; reflecting on sustainability, health, environmental issues as well as cultural heritage and pure enjoyment of tastes and flavors.
Sustainable cooking, what does that mean?
It begins with what you choose to put in your shopping cart. In the end, our diet, a significant part of everyday life and consumption is responsible for as much as 35% of our entire ecological footprint! So, if you are asking yourself how you can make a positive impact on the planet, look no further than your own dinner plate!
In this workshop with tasting, we will learn about and reflect on how our food choices and consumption effect the world we live in. We’ll consider practical ways to lessen our ecological impact while continuing to enjoy mouthwateringly delicious and nutritious high quality foods. And winding up with a tasting we certainly won’t be leaving our tastebuds out!
