Our Hygiene Concept and Instructions For Visitors

Welcome to the Carl-Schurz-Haus!

We are happy to have you here.
In order to continue to keep our institute open for you with as few restrictions as possible, we ask you to please follow our hygiene concept and the house rules implemented to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mask Recommended
For your own protection and out of consideration for other visitors, we recommend that you continue to wear an FFP2 or medical mask.

Social distancing
Please keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters between you and other visitors as well as our staff.

Wash your hands

Please wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds and make use of our hand-sanitizing stations.

Sneezing etiquette
Please always remember to sneeze and cough into your elbow and not your hands. Masks are required in the hallway, the bathrooms, as well as in the Carl-Schurz-Haus library.

3G Rule
Currently, no proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test result is required for a visit.

The submission of your contact information is currently not required.

Maximum number of visitors
Currently, the number of visitors is not limited.

Between all courses, (or between a course and the library’s opening hours) rooms are to be aired out. Between courses, rooms will remain unoccupied for at least 30 minutes. The hallway area will be aired out every 30 minutes.

Children and parents
Children under 6 years of age are not required to wear a mask. We recommend that students aged 6-18 wear a medical or FFP2 mask. Because there is only one entrance for visitors to the exhibit, the library, and for all language course participants, we kindly ask parents to pick up their children quickly and to avoid waiting in the hallway area longer than necessary.

Thank you for your visit and your cooperation! Stay healthy!
